Job summary

You will work within Float Pool staffing guidelines, performing rounds, assessments and patient education while coordinating with physicians, families and other staff to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Provides professional nursing care to patients within assigned unit/area following the nursing process.
• Maintains patient safety, documentation and adherence to standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Administers nursing care per physician orders and standards; includes med administration and patient education.
• Performs ongoing assessments and rounds; updates diagnoses and plans with family involvement.
• Maintains patient records and uses computer systems to document care.
• Trains and supervises LPNs and support staff on assessments and care delivery.
