Job summary

Paycom - ATS Endoscopy Center in Salisbury, NC seeks an RN or LPN to provide patient care in the pre-procedure area, procedure room and recovery room under supervision of RNs and physicians. You will oversee LPNs and review EMR documentation.

The role requires strong interpersonal communication, adherence to safety and infection control standards, and age-specific care. ACLS/BLS are valued; endoscopy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN licensure with NC Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Endoscopy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Endoscopy Center under direction of RNs and physicians.
• Oversee LPNs and review documentation in the EMR.
• Practice effective interpersonal communication.
• Maintain safety and infection control standards.
• Modify patient care for age-specific needs.

Job description

Renders nursing care to patients in the pre-procedure area, procedure room, recovery room in terms of individual needs, according to standard techniques and established policies and procedures. Works cooperatively with physicians and other staff membersJob Relationships:A. Responsible to Nurse ManagerB. Assignments received from Nurse ManagerC. Positions Supervised: LPNs, Endoscopy Technicians, Medical AssistantsCore Processes and Activities:A summary of the major job duties include the following. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, as needed and may change over time.Provides patient care in the Endoscopy Center under the direction of the RNs and the physicians.Oversees LPNs and reviews documentation in the EMR.Practices effective interpersonal communication skills.Maintains clinical and professional competency according to policy, procedure, and protocols and as appropriate for the ages of patients served.Performs job duties in compliance with established safety and infection control standards.Qualifications:The following qualifications are the minimum necessary to adequately perform this job.
