Job summary

Rowan-Diagnostic-Clinic, PA is seeking an RN or LPN to provide nursing care in the Endoscopy Center, covering pre-procedure, procedure, and recovery areas under the supervision of RNs and physicians. The role requires collaboration with physicians and staff to support individualized patient care and adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Responsibilities include supervising LPNs, reviewing EMR documentation, and maintaining clinical competency per policy.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN licensure with NC Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Endoscopy experience preferred.
• Solid computer skills and EMR familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care in the Endoscopy Center under RN/physician direction.
• Oversees LPNs and reviews documentation in the EMR.
• Maintains clinical competency per policy and infection control standards.

Renders nursing care to patients in the pre-procedure area, procedure room, recovery room in terms of individual needs, according to standard techniques and established policies and procedures. Works cooperatively with physicians and other staff membersJob Relationships:A. Responsible to Nurse ManagerB. Assignments received from Nurse ManagerC. Positions Supervised: LPNs, Endoscopy Technicians, Medical AssistantsCore Processes and Activities:A summary of the major job duties include the following. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, as needed and may change over time.Provides patient care in the Endoscopy Center under the direction of the RNs and the physicians.Oversees LPNs and reviews documentation in the EMR.Practices effective interpersonal communication skills.Maintains clinical and professional competency according to policy, procedure, and protocols and as appropriate for the ages of patients served.Performs job duties in compliance with established safety and infection control standards.Qualifications:The following qualifications are the minimum necessary to adequately perform this job.
