Job summary

Umcelpaso is seeking a Registered Nurse in El Paso, TX to deliver patient care through the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. You will direct and coordinate nursing care based on established standards and collaborate with other professionals to ensure quality outcomes.

Two years of RN experience are required, with preference for acute care. Texas RN license, CPR, ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC as applicable must be current at hire.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse required, preferably in a hospital based acute care setting.
• Current Texas RN license to practice in the state of Texas.
• Current CPR training.
• ACLS within 6 months for critical care areas as applicable.
• PALS within 6 months for specified units as applicable.
• ENPC within 1 year for Emergency department.
• TNCC or ATCN within 1 year for specified areas.

3. 3. Current ACLS obtained within 6 months of being in the position for critical care, Labor and Delivery and Antepartum areas.
4. 4. Current NPR training program obtained within 6 months of being in the position for the following areas: Mother/Baby, Well Baby Nursery, Labor and Delivery, and Antepartum.
5. 5. Current PALS training program obtained within 6 months of being in the position for the following areas: Endoscopy, Emergency, Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology, Operating Room, Recovery and Ambulatory Surgical Unit.
6. 6. TNCC or ATCN obtained within 1 year of being in the position for the following areas: Emergency, ICU, IMCU, Neuro ICU and Recovery.
7. 7. ENPC obtained within 1 year of being in the position for Emergency department.

Education and Training

Bachelor degree in Nursing required.
