Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. You will direct and coordinate nursing care based on clinical standards and collaborate across disciplines to achieve quality outcomes.

The role requires a TX RN license, 2 years of acute care experience, and active BLS; ACLS/EP standards, NPR, PALS, TNCC/ATCN, CPI, ENPC training within specified

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse is required, preferably in a hospital-based acute care setting.
  • Current and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas is required.
  • Current BLS training is required.
  • ACLS training, or obtained within 6 months of being in the position for critical care, Mother/Baby, Well Baby Nursery, Labor and Delivery and Antepartum areas.
  • Current NPR training obtained within 6 months of being in the position for the following areas: Mother/Baby, Well Baby Nursery, Labor and Delivery department, and Antepartum.
  • Current PALS training obtained within 6 months of being in the position for the following departments: Ambulatory Surgical Unit, Cath Lab Invasive, Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology, Emergency, Endoscopy, Operating Room, Recovery and Vascular Access.
  • TNCC or ATCN is required to be obtained within 1 year of being in the department for the following areas: Emergency, Urgent Care, ICU, MSICU, Neuro ICU and Recovery.
  • Completion of CPI course is required to be obtained within 1 year of being in the following departments: Emergency and Urgent Care.
  • Completion of the ENPC course is required to be obtained within 1 year of being in the following departments: Emergency and Urgent Care.

Work Experience
