Job summary

A-Line Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Primary Care Clinic in Lindenhurst, IL. This part-time role is 20 hours per week across 2 or 3 days with every-other weekend coverage. Compensation is $58.80 per hour.

Responsibilities include vaccines, vital signs, assessments, emergency care with on-site staff, medication reviews, EHR documentation, patient education, care coordination, and clinical/administrative support.

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid in Illinois.
• Experience in primary care or urgent care preferred.
• BLS/ACLS certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccines, injections, and medications by various routes.
• Obtain, monitor, and document vital signs and patient data.
• Perform routine and complex patient assessments and document responses.
• Provide emergency care with on-site provider during emergent situations.
• Review medications to identify interactions and contraindications.
• Conduct mental health screenings for mood and cognitive function.
• Document patient histories and treatment information in the EHR.
• Educate patients on medications, treatments, and self-care.
• Coordinate access to services and connect with community resources.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team.
• Register patients, conduct intake, checkout, and schedule reminders.
• Assist with patient flow and waiting room management.
• Chaperone during sensitive examinations, maintaining privacy and comfort.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain a welcoming clinical environment.
• Support team with additional clinical and administrative duties.

Hours Part-time: 20 hours per week 2 or 3 days per week + every other weekend Business hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–7:30 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM; Sunday, 9:00 AM–4:30 PM Assignments are expected to last six months; Opportunities for extension and conversion to full-time employment may be available. Compensation $58.80 per hour

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations, injections, and oral, intravenous, injectable, and topical medications.
• Obtain, monitor, and accurately document vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
• Perform routine and complex patient assessments, monitor pain levels, identify abnormalities, and document treatment responses.
• Provide emergency care in collaboration with the on‑site provider during emergent situations.
• Conduct medication reviews to identify potential side effects, contraindications, and drug interactions.
• Perform mental health screenings to assess depression, mood, behavior, and cognitive function.
• Accurately document patient medical histories, medications, allergies, surgeries, family history, and treatment information in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, self‑care, and disease management.
• Coordinate patient access to healthcare services and connect patients with appropriate community resources.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Perform patient registration, intake, checkout, appointment scheduling, and reminder/outreach calls.
• Assist with patient flow and waiting room management to promote an efficient and positive patient experience.
• Serve as a chaperone during sensitive examinations while maintaining patient privacy, comfort, and dignity.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, clinic areas, and waiting spaces in a clean, organized, welcoming, and well‑stocked condition.
• Support the healthcare team with additional clinical and administrative duties as needed.

• Licensed RN Prior particularly in primary care, urgent care, emergency room, family medicine, or internal medicine settings highly preferred
