Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Primary Care Clinic in Chicago. This part-time role offers 20 hours per week across 2 or 3 days with every other weekend. The clinic operates 8:30 AM–7:30 PM on weekdays, and Saturdays 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, with Sundays 9:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Assignments are six months with possible extension or conversion to full-time. Compensation is $58.80 per hour. Benefits are available to full-time employees, including a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Active RN license preferred for primary care/urgent care settings.
• Experience documenting vitals, meds, and treatments in EHR.
• Strong communication with patients and care team.

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations, injections, and medications as prescribed.
• Record vital signs accurately and monitor patient status.
• Conduct routine and focused patient assessments and document responses.
• Provide emergency care in collaboration with on-site providers.
• Review medications for interactions and contraindications.
• Perform mental health screenings and document findings.
• Document medical histories and treatment data in the EHR.
• Educate patients on meds, treatment plans, and self-care.
• Coordinate access to services and community resources.
• Communicate with patients, families, and the care team.
• Assist with patient registration, scheduling, and follow-ups.
• Support patient flow and maintain a welcoming clinic environment.
• Chaperone sensitive exams while ensuring privacy and dignity.
• Prepare exam rooms and clinics spaces in clean, organized condition.
• Assist with additional clinical/administrative duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations, injections, and oral, intravenous, injectable, and topical medications.
• Obtain, monitor, and accurately document vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
• Perform routine and complex patient assessments, monitor pain levels, identify abnormalities, and document treatment responses.
• Provide emergency care in collaboration with the on‑site provider during emergent situations.
• Conduct medication reviews to identify potential side effects, contraindications, and drug interactions.
• Perform mental health screenings to assess depression, mood, behavior, and cognitive function.
• Accurately document patient medical histories, medications, allergies, surgeries, family history, and treatment information in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, self‑care, and disease management.
• Coordinate patient access to healthcare services and connect patients with appropriate community resources.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Perform patient registration, intake, checkout, appointment scheduling, and reminder/outreach calls.
• Assist with patient flow and waiting room management to promote an efficient and positive patient experience.
• Serve as a chaperone during sensitive examinations while maintaining patient privacy, comfort, and dignity.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, clinic areas, and waiting spaces in a clean, organized, welcoming, and well‑stocked condition.
• Support the healthcare team with additional clinical and administrative duties as needed.

• Licensed RN Prior particularly in primary care, urgent care, emergency room, family medicine, or internal medicine settings highly preferred
