Scripps Health in Escondido, CA is seeking a part-time RN for the Pre-Op/PACU unit. The shift begins between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. and the role offers benefits in this 48-hour per two-week pay period position.

As a Pre-Op/PACU RN, you will perform pre-anesthesia preparation, monitor patients as they wake from sedation, and provide direct patient care within the care team framework to ensure safe and efficient perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Pre-anesthesia preparation and observation during procedures.
• Care for patients emerging from sedation after surgery.

• Take primary responsibility for the patient’s care as delivered by the Care Team under supervision.

As an RN in the Pre-Op/PACU you will be responsible for:

• pre-anesthesia preparation and observation and maintenance during the procedure
• monitoring and caring for patients are they are coming out of sedation aftersurgery.

Other duties include: Provide direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
