Cibolo Creek Surgery Center in Schertz, TX, is seeking a PRN RN PreOp/PACU to provide continuous, high-quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation. The role emphasizes patient safety, comfort, and privacy while supporting the surgical team and adapting to the day’s schedule.
Required credentials include graduation from an accredited RN program, an active Texas RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS as needed), and 2 years in PACU or critical care.
We have 3 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedics and Podiatry. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.
The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
