Job summary

South Denver Surgery Center is seeking a Full Time Preop/PACU RN to join our team. The role focuses on patient safety and continuous nursing care from anesthesia recovery through discharge, under the supervision of the Pre-Op/ PACU manager.

Requirements include CO RN licensure, Othro PACU/ICU experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and strong communication and organizational skills. Join a dedicated team at a center that values patient family care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current CO Registered Nurse License.
• Ortho experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS.
• ASC experience a plus.
• Experience in PACU / ICU required.
• Good communication and human relations skills.
• Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.
• Thorough knowledge of all phases of perioperative process including knowledge of surgical procedures and anesthesia implications.

Responsibilities

• Implement physician orders and provide continuity of nursing care for all patients.
• Continuously evaluate patient condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique as appropriate.

• 4 days per week, 10 hour shifts. No weekends, nights, calls or holidays*

Preop/PACU Registered Nurse at South Denver Surgery Center:

Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all time. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications:
