About the Department
The Main OR PreOp/PACU is a 38-bay (20 PreOp, 18 PACU) department at Trinity Health Ann Arbor’s Level 1 Trauma Center, with 20 operating rooms that average 50 cases/day. Our mission is to provide the highest-quality care to every patient who requires a surgical intervention; both during preparation for surgery and recovery from anesthesia. We care for both inpatients and outpatients for the following types of elective/urgent/emergent service lines: Acute Care Surgery, Colorectal, General Surgery, Cardio-Thoracic, Orthopedics, Endocrinology, Neurosurgery, Urology, Gynecology, Oncology, and Vascular; as well as off-shift Endoscopy. Our nursing staff is supported 24/7 by department-based Anesthesiologists. We have the distinction of being a Certified Joint Center of Excellence as well as a Robotic Center of Excellence.
Shifts Available: Varied shifts
Certifications we offer - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR), and Certified Perianesthesia Nurse (CPAN)
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
• Graduation from accredited nursing program.
• All new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire or transfer to an RN role.
• Current Michigan Nursing License
• BLS
