Job summary

Grandview Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Premier Float Pool on a full-time weekend days schedule (7am–7pm). The role emphasizes patient-centered care, coordination with physicians and nurses, and adherence to clinical protocols. Weekend premium pay and incentives support full and part-time staff.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, administer medications, and participate in code team activities while upholding safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• RN with state licensure required and BCLS certification.
• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care.
• Strong knowledge of nursing process and clinical practices.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively.
• Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Document assessments and report condition changes to care team.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Participate in emergencies and code team activities.
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards.
• Maintain thorough and timely records and participate in quality improvement.
