Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast seeks an experienced registered nurse to provide patient- and family-centered care on the Night shift. You will apply nursing processes, develop care plans, and collaborate with inter-professional teams.

The role requires an active PA RN license, specialized nursing diploma, and strong communication; provides education, discharge planning, and commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Patient- and Family-Centered Practice knowledge of how to convey respect and collaborate with each patient, family and/or designated care partner in care and care planning.
• Cultural Awareness knowledge of people with diverse backgrounds and the ability to convey respect.
• Effective Communication: ability to transmit, receive, and interpret ideas and needs; uses partnership language with patients and families.
• Patient Assessment and Care: knowledge of assessing ailments and implementing a plan.
• Medication Administration and Prescription: knowledge of medications and treatment outside hospital.
• Discharge Planning: knowledge of follow-up care.
• Health Information Documentation: proper documentation methods.
• BLS and RN license in PA.
• Shift/Hours: Full Time/Nights - 36 hours weekly.

Responsibilities

• Partners with patients and families to identify learning needs and provide education.
• Uses information technology to communicate, manage knowledge and improve care quality.
• Works within nursing and inter-professional teams to ensure safe, coordinated care.
