Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, GA is seeking an RN Staff Nurse for the Nurse Residency Unit on nights (7pm–7am). This NRU hosts three cohorts of new graduates each year with experienced preceptors and a Nurse Residency Coordinator providing strong support.

The RN will provide patient care across the life span, follow nursing processes, and coordinate care with the team in a state-of-the-art Main Tower.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Georgia State Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.
• BCLS certification required; advanced certification encouraged if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care activities with the unit team; maintain standards of practice.
• Support nurse residents and participate in orientation and transition to practice.
