Livingston HealthCare is seeking an energetic Perioperative RN to join our preop PACU team in Livingston, MT. You will provide evidence-based, patient-centered perioperative care in a dynamic, supportive environment, with a schedule including 10-hour shifts and call.
Responsibilities include developing individualized perioperative plans, maintaining patient safety, and collaborating with radiology, lab, and ICU teams. Required Montana RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS within 3 months of hire.

Cover PreopPACU RN call as noted above with an arrival time of 30 minutes or less from the call inAct as patient advocate for surgical and procedural patientsEvaluates patients and appropriately communicates pertinent information to surgeon or CRNAInitiates and maintains IVs as orderedDevelop and individualized perioperative plan of care for each patient and implementing this plan bya protecting the patient from injury caused by extraneous sources; b administering medications safely and correctly; c facilitating optimal surgical outcome for the patient through peri operative care providing constant careful observation and evaluation of patients condition; d performing interventions to maintain normothermia; e protecting the patients rights dignity and privacy; and f providing age specific culturally competent ethical care within legal standards of practice Provides nursing care during the post anesthesia phase of surgery that is appropriate to the age and comorbidities of the patient served and in conformance with hospital policy AORN standards and ASPAN standards of careCollaborate effectively with other disciplines as applicable eg radiology lab Med Surg ICU etcDemonstrates the ability for immediate and knowledgeable response in emergency situationsFollows established protocols and maintains a safe environment for post anesthesia phase of surgery
Current unrestricted Montana RN license or Multistate Compact RN license Basic Life Support BLS certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS certification within 3 months of hire Pediatric Advanced Life Support PALS certification within 3 months of hire Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
