Job summary

Mountain View Surgery Center at Gilbert, part of United Surgical Partners International, is seeking a Registered Nurse for PreOp/PACU and will train for the OR. The center is a fast paced ambulatory surgery center focused on quality patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities include assisting in aseptic procedures, supervising staff, patient assessments, room prep, and safe transport to the OR and PACU, with emphasis on continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have at least 1–3 years' previous experience in PreOp/PACU or Critical Care; ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS and PALS.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assist in carrying out safe aseptic techniques and procedures.
• Supervise and direct the activities of surgical technicians and supporting personnel.
• Perform assessments of patients for specific nursing care needs.
• Check room for needed supplies and prepares room for procedures.
• Assist in transporting patients to operating room and verify pre-op preparations.
• Perform cleanup and general housekeeping after procedures.
