Job summary

Franklin Surgery Center, part of United Surgical Partners International (USPI), is hiring an experienced RN Pre-op/PACU to provide perioperative care in a busy outpatient setting. The role emphasizes patient-family centered care using established nursing processes and care plans.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in pre/post operative care or ICU, pediatric experience, and current BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in TN.
• Strong Pediatric experience required.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in Pre and/or post operative care or ICU.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred.
• Must have current BLS and ACLS certification
• Current PALS preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care using the nursing process and care plans in perioperative services.
• Deliver safe, effective, and patient-family centered care in pre-op/PACU.
• Support organization mission and values in daily practice.
