HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital in Sarasota, FL is seeking an RN to support the Pre and Post Cath Lab team in a procedural environment. This PRN role provides clinical expertise to ensure high‑quality, efficient care for cardiac patients and integration with the cath lab team.

The ideal candidate holds a Florida RN license (compact accepted with activation within 60 days), a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and 1–3 years’ experience in the Cardiac Cath

Qualifications

• Florida RN license is required or eligible for compact licensure.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification.
• 1–3 years’ experience in Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care pre, intra and post procedure.
• Assist physicians during operative procedures.
• Maintain and review patient records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Pre/Post Cath Lab Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Catheterization Lab. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a procedural environment. What you will do in this role:

• You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Cardiac Cath patients pre, intra and post procedure.
• You will assist physicians in operative procedures.
• You will maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results
• You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders

Requirements:

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• One to three years’ experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
