Sentara Cardiology Specialists in Williamsburg, VA is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse Practice Coordinator. The role will lead clinic staff scheduling, provide direct patient care, and support clinical guidelines in an ambulatory setting.

Eligible candidates have a Bachelor’s in Nursing, active VA or compact RN license, and 3 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in supervision. Specialty certification is preferred, and ambulatory care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s level degree in nursing.
• Active RN license (VA or Compact).
• Specialty certification in professional nursing practice preferred.
• Nursing experience: 3 years required.
• Previous supervisory experience: 1 year required.
• Ambulatory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and coordinates clinic staff scheduling and assignments to meet patient care needs.
• Performs direct patient care and supports patient education and decision-making.
• Develops and implements clinical practice guidelines/protocols.
• Collaborates with physicians/NP/PA/RN to deliver comprehensive care.
• Delegates/supervises tasks to LPNs and MAs as appropriate.

Sentara Cardiology Specialists are now hiring a full-time Registered Nurse Practice Coordinator in Williamsburg, VA!

Hours:

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5p. NO NIGHTS, HOLIDAYS, or WEEKENDS!

Overview

The Registered Nurse Practice Coordinator functions as a clinical leader, under the direction of the Practice Manager, for the provision of patient care services for populations of ambulatory care patients/families. Responsible for the scheduling and/or assigning clinic staff to meet patient care and clinic needs, performing patient care, developing/implementing clinical practice guidelines/protocols, and for providing support with patient decision-making, education, and coordination of services to assure quality outcomes. Coordinates and collaborates with Physicians and/or Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA)/Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive care, and provides delegation and supervision of tasks (procedures, treatments) to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Medical Assistants (MA).

Education

• Bachelor’s Level Degree-Nursing

Certification/Licensure

• Active RN license (VA or Compact)
• Specialty certification in professional nursing practice preferred.

Experience

• Nursing experience 3 years required
• Previous supervisory experience 1 year required
• Ambulatory Care experience preferred
