Job summary

Dakota County Technical College seeks a temporary, part-time Practical Nursing Clinical Instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to become part of a creative, student-centered learning community. The instructor will teach Nursing Clinicals and Foundations Lab, with clinicals delivered at off-site locations for the 2026–2027 academic year.

The role expects a 12-credit load per term in fall and spring, with a August 24, 2026 start date.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing or graduate degree in support of the field of nursing and/or education with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing if the graduate degree is not in Nursing.
A nursing program director must hold a graduate degree in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, public health nursing or a nursing clinical specialty.

Responsibilities

Teach Practical Nursing clinicals (Clinical I and Clinical II).
Instructor is responsible for all activities related to teaching and learning including, but not limited to: instructional planning, curriculum development, student evaluation and records, classroom/climate preparation and management, interpersonal relations, promote safety in all aspects of program activities, participate in professional development experiences, work as an effective team member of the department, maintenance of professional skills and credentials, and participate on college.
