Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth is seeking a part-time RN with postpartum/mother-baby experience to join the BirthPlace and Nursery teams. You will assess patients, plan and supervise care, and educate families on breastfeeding, working with a multidisciplinary group to support mother/baby health.

The ideal candidate holds MA RN licensure, with BSN preferred and certifications such as IBCLC, NRP, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• Massachusetts RN license required.
• BSN preferred; postpartum/mother-baby experience required.
• IBCLC, NRP and BLS/CPR certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, mental and psychological status and plan care.
• Plan, evaluate and supervise nursing care for all patients.
• Collaborate with other disciplines in patient care.
• Educate patients and families, especially on breastfeeding.
• Support lactation services in BirthPlace and Nursery; act as liaison.

Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
