Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown seeks a Registered Nurse in the Post-Surgical Unit for a full-time night shift. The RN plans, directs, coordinates, and implements nursing care for post-surgical patients, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited RN program, hold a Texas RN license, and demonstrate strong communication, judgment, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• 1-2 years’ RN experience in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU preferred.
• RN licensed in Texas.
• BLS required, ACLS preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement nursing care for post-surgical patients.
• Ensure highest quality and safe delivery of patient care; comply with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to patients presenting with healthcare needs and perform Medical Screening Exam as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee.
