Job summary

Avantara Lincoln Park in Chicago seeks a Nurse Supervisor RN to lead the on-site nursing team, ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations, and support the DON in planning and operation of the unit. This role emphasizes quality, patient-centered care and staff development.

This position requires 2+ years RN experience, RN license, CPR, and a commitment to infection control and continuous improvement within a 24/7 facility with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Valid, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
• CPR certification.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience.
• 5 years RN experience preferred.
• Experience managing a Nursing department or unit preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal, State and Local requirements and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise the activities of the nursing staff.
• Ensure the Nursing Department is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Develop, implement and update department policy and procedures when necessary.
• Assist with staffing to ensure Guest needs and regulatory requirements are met.
• Participate in Federal, State and Local agency surveys and inspections.
• Provide guidance and education to staff on performance and compliance.
• Lead training and education for staff on unit operations.
• Support QAPI initiatives and participate in quality improvement activities.

Education

Graduate from accredited nursing program

Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice
