Job summary

KEDPLASMA is seeking a Registered Nurse to support donor safety and the plasma donation process in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will evaluate donor eligibility, manage medical incidents, and ensure regulatory compliance in collaboration with the Center Medical Director.

Responsibilities include educating donors, administering immunizations, monitoring reactions, and maintaining accurate records. Prioritize donor care in a regulated environment and contribute to a positive donor experience.

Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed RN in the state where the center operates.
• Graduate of a recognized nursing program.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience in plasma or blood collection is a plus.
• Familiarity with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP regulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor eligibility and perform physical exams for plasmapheresis.
• Review donor health history and lab results and consult with the Center Medical Director.
• Educate donors about the donation process and informed consent.
• Administer immunizations and monitor adverse reactions.
• Respond to donor reactions and manage emergencies.
• Maintain emergency equipment and ensure readiness.
• Notify donors of positive viral marker results and provide counseling.
• Participate in safety committees and staff education.
• Assist with plasmapheresis and whole blood procedures as needed.
• Maintain donor charts and document medical incidents.
