Job summary

Kedrion Biopharma Inc. Kedplasma is seeking a Licensed Nurse to serve as on-site clinical expert for donor eligibility, donor reactions, and regulatory compliance during plasma donation.

The role collaborates with the Center Medical Director and team to deliver a safe, efficient, and welcoming donor experience, educate on process, risks, and informed consent, and support immunization programs.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse in good standing in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current CPR certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Experience in plasma or blood collection is a plus.
• Familiarity with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP regulations beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct donor eligibility assessments for plasmapheresis and immunization programs.
• Review donor health history and labs to determine suitability with the Center Medical Director as needed.
• Educate donors on the donation process, risks, benefits, and informed consent.
• Administer immunizations and monitor for adverse responses with proper documentation.
• Respond to donor reactions with appropriate treatment and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain emergency medical equipment readiness and safety protocols.
• Notify donors of positive viral marker results and provide confidential counseling.
• Participate in safety committees and educate staff on donor suitability and medical protocols.
• Manage employee immunization programs and ensure SOP/regulatory compliance.
• Assist with plasmapheresis and whole blood procedures when needed.
• Maintain accurate donor charts and review medical incidents.
• Promote donor retention by ensuring a welcoming, informative, and safe experience.
