Job summary

Kedrion Biopharma Inc. is hiring an RN for a physician substitute role in the plasma collection setting. You will evaluate donor eligibility, manage medical incidents, and support donor safety under regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include educating donors, administering immunizations, notifying viral marker results, and maintaining documentation while collaborating with the Center Medical Director and team.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in the state where the center operates.
• Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program (e.g., Nursing, Physician Assistant).
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Familiarity with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP regulations is beneficial.
• Comfortable working in a regulated environment with exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor eligibility through physical exams and medical history.
• Review donor health data and lab results with Center Medical Director as needed.
• Educate donors on the donation process, risks, benefits, and consent.
• Administer immunizations and monitor adverse reactions, documenting all procedures.
• Maintain and monitor emergency medical equipment and ensure readiness for any situation.
• Notify donors of positive viral marker results and provide confidential counseling.
• Participate in safety committee activities and educate staff on donor suitability and medical protocols.
• Assist with plasmapheresis and whole blood procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in donor charts and ensure all medical incidents are reviewed.
• Promote donor retention by creating a welcoming, informative, and safe experience.
