Job summary

Bayhealth Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care within a physician practice at the Sussex Campus Hospital. You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and maintain detailed medical records.

Requires an associate degree or nursing diploma with an active RN license and at least two years of clinical nursing experience in medical settings; bachelor’s degree and certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate Degree or Nursing Diploma; RN license.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience in a physician practice, hospital, or similar setting.
• Preferred Bachelor Degree in Nursing and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients within a physician practice.

• Accurately record data in medical records and departmental databases.

General Summary:

Provides professional nursing care to patients within a Physician’s Practice. Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized knowledge, critical thinking, judgment, and skill are performed in accordance with practice policy, procedure, and philosophy.

Responsibilities:

• Restores and promotes patient's health by completing nursing process.
• Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Accurately and completely records all required data in the medical record and departmental database.
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
• Use advanced communication skills with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and profession standards.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.
• All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.

Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience:

• Education: Associate Degree; Nursing; Or Nursing Diploma.
• Credential(s): Basic Life Support; Registered Nurse.
• Experience: At least two years clinical nursing experience in a physician practice, hospital, or other medical specialized environment.

Preferred Education, Credential(s) and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor Degree; Nursing.
• Credential(s): Certification related to the position, if applicable.
• Experience: Three or more years in a physician practice or hospital setting.
