Job summary

Bayhealth Milford, DE is seeking an experienced RN for our Wound Care Center within the Physician Practice. The role provides professional nursing care, collaborates with physicians, maintains patient records, and supports patients and families.

Requirements include an Associate degree or Nursing Diploma, BLS, RN license, and at least two years in a physician practice or hospital setting. Day shifts, full-time, 80 hours per pay period, salary range starting at 32.81 per hour.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree; Nursing; Or Nursing Diploma.
• Bachelor Degree; Nursing (preferred).
• Credentials: Basic Life Support; Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Restores and promotes patient's health by completing nursing process.
• Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Accurately and completely records all required data in the medical record and departmental database.
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
• Use advanced communication skills with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and profession standards.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.
• All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provides professional nursing care to patients within a Physician’s Practice. Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized knowledge, critical thinking, judgment, and skill are performed in accordance with practice policy, procedure, and philosophy.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, CREDENTIAL(S) AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education: Associate Degree; Nursing; Or Nursing Diploma.
  
• Credential(s): Basic Life Support; Registered Nurse.
• Experience: At least two years clinical nursing experience in a physician practice, hospital, or other medical specialized environment.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, CREDENTIAL(S) AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education: Bachelor Degree; Nursing.
• Credential(s): Certification related to the position, if applicable.
• Experience: Three or more years in a physician practice or hospital setting.
