Job summary

Franciscan Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care across multiple physician offices. You will assess patients, plan care, and evaluate medical treatment while coordinating with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

The RN will act as a liaison, manage patient education, and maintain accurate records, with a focus on evidence-based practice and quality care in a supportive, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required for RN licensure.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid RN license to practice in the state (or NLC) on hire.
• 2 years nursing/patient care preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for patients including assessment, treatment, and care planning.
• Coordinate care and education for patients and families.
• Liaise between patients, staff and providers for medical information and requests.

The Registered Nurse (RN) works in multiple physician offices to provide professional nursing care for patients including assessment, treatment, care planning, medical care evaluation, and education by following established standards and practices. The RN float assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care and functions as a liaison between patients, staff, and providers.

• Record and maintain complete and accurate records of patient and physician communications regarding medical care according to standard medical record documentation requirements
• Submit electronically/fax new prescriptions and refill prescriptions according to Physician orders.
• Serve as a resource to clinic staff regarding medical information, patient assessment, and nursing management of illness
• Acquire pre-certs/prior authorizations for patient needs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s Degree -Required
• Bachelor’s Degree - Preferred
• Valid RN license to practice in the state or as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) upon hire - Required
• 2 years Nursing/Patient Care - Preferred
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
