Job summary

Jefferson Community Health & Life is seeking an RN for the Perioperative Surgery unit to join our team in Fairbury, NE. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week, with shifts 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and no weekends or holidays.

The position requires Nebraska licensure, BLS, ACLS; PALS is preferred. Prior perioperative nursing experience (1–3 years) is desirable. Responsibilities include pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient care and collaboration with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• RN license in Nebraska is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques and surgical instruments.
• 1–3 years of surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessment activities including collecting, analyzing, and documenting data.
• Coordinate and plan needs for the surgical procedure.
• Provide safe and therapeutic care during surgical intervention.
• Evaluate patient care in the OR, PACU, and CS.

Jefferson Community Health & Life is looking for two RNs to join our Surgery Department. We currently have two openings for this same position, each working 24 hours per week.

Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., three days per week (Monday through Friday). No weekends and no holidays.

Position Summary: Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care for the patient from pre-operative assessment to intra-operative intervention on to the post-operative evaluation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• * Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska
• * BLS, ACLS
• * PALS preferred but not required
• *Familiarity with aseptic techniques, sterilization, surgical instruments, supplies and equipment preferred.
• *Surgical nursing experience of 1–3 years is preferred

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
