Job summary

Jefferson Community Health Center in Fairbury, NE is seeking two RN perioperative nurses for our Surgery Department. Each position is 24 hours per week, with shifts 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

No weekends or holidays. Responsibilities include pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care, with emphasis on safety and patient assessment. Qualified candidates are Nebraska-licensed RNs with BLS/ACLS; PALS preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• PALS preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques, sterilization, surgical instruments, supplies and equipment preferred.
• Surgical nursing experience of 1-3 years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment activities which include collecting, analyzing, and documenting data.
• Coordinates and plans needs for the surgical procedure.
• Implements and provides safe and therapeutic care for patients during surgical intervention.
• Examines and evaluates patient care/procedures within the operating room, PACU, and CS.

Jefferson Community Health & Life is looking for two RNs to join our Surgery Department. We currently have two openings for this same position, each working 24 hours per week.

Hours : 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., three days per week (Monday through Friday). No weekends and no holidays.

Position Summary:

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care for the patient from pre-operative assessment to intra-operative intervention on to the post-operative evaluation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
