OrthoNebraska in Omaha, NE is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to oversee the safe, efficient perioperative care of patients. Responsibilities include sterilizing equipment, preparing rooms, and assessing patients before and after surgery while supporting the surgeon during procedures.
The ideal candidate will have an RN license in Nebraska (or eligible compact state), BLS and ACLS certification within 90 days, and 1+ year perioperative or PACU experience.
Operating Room Registered Nurse oversees the safe, effective, and efficient care of patients in the operating room by sterilizing equipment, preparing rooms, and assessing patients before and after surgery. They will also assist the surgeon during the procedure. The operating room nurse should be a strong communicator with a friendly personality and have the ability and physical stamina to provide a high level of care under pressure.

FTE / Hours: 1.0 / 40
Schedule: Four (4) 10-Hour Variable shifts Mon - Fri. between the hours of 6:30am - 7:00pm
Education: Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing required. Bachelors preferred.
Licensure: Registered Nursing licensed in the State of Nebraska or eligible compact state required.
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire or transfer date.
Experience: 1+ years perioperative, medical-surgical or PACU experience preferred.
This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment physical and drug testing. Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
