Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an RN - Perioperative to support pediatric surgery patients in a 13-week assignment. The role requires 1 year of acute OR experience, an active RN license, and current BLS certification.

Must have Level I Pediatric experience and be able to work 12-hour weekend day shifts (0630-1900). Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating nursing care within the perioperative setting, maintaining effective communication, and documenting care

Qualifications

Description:The Perioperative Circulator is a registered nurse who plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures.Using clinical knowledge, judgment, and clinical reasoning skills based on scientific principles, the perioperative nurse develops and implements nursing care to address the physical, psychological, and spiritual responses of the patient.The Perioperative Circulator is responsible for both the direct and indirect provision of professional nursing care in the operating room.The nurse is accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of care delivered to patients within the perioperative environment utilizing the nursing process.The Perioperative Circulator tailors patient care according to the patient’s health status, age level, and type of surgery or procedure being performed.Performs other duties as assigned.Required skills include knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.Excellent understanding of AORN standards is necessary.Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services while applying nursing techniques is essential.The candidate must be able to maintain good working relationships with other employees.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing excellent specialized care is needed.Some computer skills are preferred.
