Description:Rotating shifts include hours starting at 0700, 0900, 1100, and 1500.Short call requirement of 4 hours at the end of two shifts per week.Responsible for prepping patients for procedures and recovery post-procedure.Experience with femoral sheath removals and EKG monitoring is required.Candidates should have experience in Phase 2 recovery.Average daily census in the unit is 50 to 60 patients.Unit operates with 19 rooms and beds.Patient diagnoses include coronary artery disease, heart failure, and dysrhythmias.Involves interdisciplinary support from various specialized teams.Special duties include managing post cardiac angiograms and post myocardial infarction patients.Includes the use of rapid response and code teams.Travelers may need to float within the hospital or nearby affiliate facilities.
