University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque is hiring RN Per Diem for all Progressive Care Units. Per Diem I-II-III have different hourly rates and shift differentials. Work includes Neonate to Geriatric care within diverse PCU departments and requires adherence to safety and patient-care standards.
Minimum: Nursing program graduate with 1 year related experience; RN license in NM or reciprocal, CPR/BLS; preferred BSN and bilingual abilities. Various benefits and shifts available.

Compensation for this role is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, and other business and organizational considerations.
RN Per Diem positions are flat rate: RN Per Diem I $40.30/hour, RN Per Diem II $47.38/hour, and RN Per Diem III $51.49/hour.
Work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients consistent with clinical specialty, independent of patient location. Serve as a role model to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. This position does not qualify for out of area float pay. Patient care assignment may include; Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age groups.
Minimum work requirement for RN Per Diem I is two shifts per schedule. One weekend shift per schedule and one summer and one winter holiday are required.
Minimum work requirement for RN Per Diem II is four shifts per schedule. Two weekend shifts per schedule and one summer and one winter holiday are required.
Minimum work requirement for RN Per Diem III is ten shifts per schedule. Two weekend shift per schedule and one summer and one winter holiday are required.
Education: Nursing program (nationally accredited) graduate
Experience: 1 year directly related experience
Certifications: RN MATRIX - Complete and maintain unit/clinic based required certifications and competencies as listed in the department expectations/and or the unit/clinic education matrix
Licenses/Certifications: Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in State of New Mexico or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by State of New Mexico CPR Certification for Healthcare/BLS Providers or for Professional Rescuers or must obtain within 30 calendar days of date of position
Testing Requirements: Obtain UNMH IV Verification within 6 months of position Tuberculosis testing is completed upon hire and additionally as required
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing
Preferred Experience: Bilingual English/Spanish Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
Preferred Licensure/Certification: Nationally Certified in area of specialty
Environmental Conditions: Sig Hazard: Chemicals, bio hazardous materials requiring extensive safety precautions and may require protective equipment
Physical Conditions: Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
