Job summary

Active Day Nurses is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver person-centered care to our members and coordinate with the care team. You will administer medications, document care, and liaise with physicians to meet emergent needs.

In a supportive setting with aides available as needed, you will work toward safe, compliant care practices while avoiding long shifts and on-call burdens. Benefits programs are offered.

Qualifications

  • RN License, CPR certification, and malpractice insurance are required where applicable.
  • 1-2 years of full-time experience in a licensed health care facility, geriatrics/long-term care preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish may be required.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations (OSHA).
  • Strong English communication, interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across functional teams.
  • Flexible schedules may be required.

Responsibilities

At Active Day - you provide \"true care\" to Your members . You will \"get to know\" your members and provide the person-centered care you've always wanted to provide. You will rarely be required to handle acute care conditions day-to-day, and most centers will have Aides to assist you as needed.


Unlike hospitals and residential care, you will have manageable duties . You will become familiar with your members' healthcare needs and have various support personnel that you can trust and rely on!

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to members in accordance with physician's orders and emergent needs. Duties involve coordinating care with other professional disciplines and providing instruction and assistance to members, staff, family members and the general community. The Registered Nurse ensures that all work complies with company policies and procedures, safety and regulatory laws and standards.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Provides nursing care and administers medication to members according to individual plan of care,physician's orders and emergent needs, and documents clinical and progress notes on themember's medical record.

  • Performs initial nursing assessments, observes, monitors and documents members' vital signs andresponses to treatments and medications, reporting abnormalities to physician. Coordinates carewith other member care services (ie: Dietary, Pharmacy, Dental, Rehabilitation, Physical/Speech/Occupational Therapy, Audiology, DME).

  • Assists members as needed with daily functional activities, including but not limited to, hygiene,meals, ambulation, arrivals and departures, and social activities.

  • Provides health education and instruction to staff, members, family members and the generalcommunity as directed. Participates in facility marketing activities.

  • Provides emergency care and prepares incident reports as required.

  • May perform duties of Director of Nursing as required.

  • Participate in continuing nursing education.

  • Exposure to biological agents (ie: body fluids, micro-organisms)

  • Continuous walking/standing up to 4 hours

  • Walking up to 4 hours in a 8 hour period

  • Standing up to 4 hours in a 8 hour period

  • Sitting up to 4 hours in a 8 hour period

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Education: RN License, CPR certification, and valid malpractice insurance policy if applicable.

  • Experience: 1-2 years full time equivalent experience in a licensed health care facility. Geriatric andlong term care experience preferred. May be required to be bilingual (English/Spanish).

  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of NJ Dept of Health and Senior Services Manuals of Standards for Adult Day Health CareLicensure

  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal environmental and OSHA regulations

  • Ability to demonstrate good English communication skills, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to make independent decisions

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional capacity
