Corewell Health is offering up to $10,000 as a sign-on bonus for this opportunity!

About the Unit

This 20-bed pediatric/adult overflow med/surg unit cares for patients from 2 days old to over 100 years old. Nurse to patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night for regular med/surg patients, with high acuity pediatric patients at 1:3. No PICU level patients are housed here.

Scope of Work

The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients, incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The RN works under the direction of the Nurse Leader, ensuring quality care and recognizing the impact of nursing on patient outcomes. The RN partners with patients and families to develop and document education and care plans.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within 5 years
• Graduates from non-accredited schools must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed healthcare role, plus passing the NCLEX exam
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) license
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days
