Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Pediatric RN for a 13-week assignment in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Work 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week, caring for patients from 3 days to 18 years old and utilizing EPIC for charting.

Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years in pediatrics, an active RN license, BLS and PALS, and IV skills are a plus. The unit has 28 beds, a 1:4 nurse–patient ratio, and staff wear Caribbean blue scrubs.

Qualifications

• Care for pediatric patients from 3 days to 18 years.
• Experience with common childhood illnesses including COVID+.
• Strong knowledge base for pediatric care across levels.
• Experience with pediatric trauma, respiratory issues, RSV, general surgery and birth defects is essential.
• Use EPIC and Pyxis for charting and medication administration.
• IV skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• The nurse will work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.
• Floating to the PICU may be required as needed.
• The pediatric unit has 28 beds.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4.
• Dress code includes Caribbean blue scrubs.
• 24 hours of orientation on the floor with a preceptor.
