Job summary

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatrics Unit to join a growing hospital expansion project. The RN will be accountable for the nursing process, delegating tasks, supervising staff, coordinating care for a group of patients, and consulting with the health care team as needed.

Position reports to the Nurse Manager. Shifts are determined by the hiring manager; pay rate follows the labor agreement.

Qualifications

• AS/Diploma/Regency Degree required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current RN license in WV required.
• Maintains CEUs for licensure.
• Must maintain CPR.
• Specialty certification preferred.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to plan and deliver patient care.
• Delegate patient care tasks to staff.
• Supervise other patient care staff.
• Coordinate care for a group of patients.
• Consult with other health care team members when indicated.

The Registered Professional Nurse is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, supervision of other patient care staff, coordinating the care for a group of patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated.

Position reports directly to the Nurse Manager. The shift will be determined by each hiring manager. The pay rate will be determined in accordance with the labor agreement.
