Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an experienced RN to provide comprehensive pediatric nursing care. The role requires a nursing degree and current Illinois RN licensure, plus BLS and strong communication with patients, families, and staff.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required or higher; ADN with equivalent experience may be approved for difficult-to-fill roles.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff.
• Special certifications may be required by department.

Responsabilidades

• Performs nursing assessments utilizing various assessment methods and tools.
• Develops or updates plans of care with family input; evaluates changes.
• Creates teaching plans to meet patient and family learning needs; documents changes.
• Delivers nursing care per procedures and protocols; anticipates emergent situations.
• Communicates with family and multidisciplinary team about health care needs and changes.
• Keeps current in nursing practice using literature for problem solving.
• Incorporates hospital quality initiatives into daily activities.
• Upholds standards of service, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Seeks resources to advance nursing practice and achieve goals.
• Performs duties with customer service focus on innovation and excellence in care.
