Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is hiring a registered nurse for a 4‑shift week schedule (4 × 9 hours, 8:00 am–5:30 pm) in Chicago, IL. The role includes nursing assessments, care planning with families, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional pediatric care.

Minimum qualifications include a BSN preferred, IL RN license, BLS, and strong communication skills. Visa sponsorship may be considered for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
• Current Illinois RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians and staff.
• Special certifications may be required by the department.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments using various methods and tools.
• Develop and individualize plans of care with family goals.
• Create teaching plans to meet patient and family learning needs.
• Provide nursing care per procedures and protocols.
• Communicate patient status and care needs with families and the care team.
• Stay up-to-date with nursing practice and quality initiatives.
• Adhere to service principles and professional image standards.
• Collaborate with team to achieve unit and hospital goals.
