Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the OR, specializing in pediatric patients. This PRN, self-scheduling role supports a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio, with flexible shifts and a focus on patient safety before, during, and after surgery.

The ideal candidate holds an Ohio RN license and BSN, has OR (Peds) experience, and current BLS/ACLS; PALS and CNOR are highly preferred. Competitive pay ($48-$52/hr) and weekly direct deposit are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Ohio RN License required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Must have American Heart Association Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to pediatric patients within the operating room and performs assessments and interventions to keep patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN License required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills

• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus
