Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Pediatric ICU RN for Seasonal PRN work. You will provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients, develop and document individualized care plans, and maintain a safe clinical environment within a high-acuity unit.

The role requires RN licensure, an Associate Degree, and PALS within 6 months of start date; BCLS and potential instructor duties within 30 days are noted.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• PALS certification required within 6 months of employment start date.
• Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients per the Nurse Practice Act.
• Organize, implement, modify, evaluate and document the individualized family-centered care plan.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the critically ill pediatric patient.
• Organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered, and holistic.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Participate in PICU initiatives and process improvement.
• Maintain high-quality age specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult population.
• Support the mission, vision and values of the organization

What qualifications you will need:

• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
