Las Palmas Medical Center, a 300+ bed hospital in El Paso, seeks a Charge Nurse for the pediatric unit. The RN leads shift operations, coordinates care, and collaborates with the health care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BCLS and PALS must be obtained within specified timeframes after start date.
• RN license is required to practice as a registered nurse.
• Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher.

Job Summary And Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the unit’s Director or designee the Charge Nurse assumes responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions in the unit on his/her designated shifts. In collaboration with other members of the management team, this individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in unit. The RN staff nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Las Palmas Medical Center. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, delegates and coordinates treatment plans and the plan of care.

what qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
