Job summary

CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE seeks a PCU Nurse to care for critically ill patients on the 49-bed PCU with telemetry monitoring. You will monitor conditions, administer medications, and work with physicians and the nursing team to implement care plans.

The role requires graduates of an accredited nursing program, an active RN license in the state, and BLS; ACLS within 5 months. We offer a generous sign-on bonus and education assistance for eligible new hires.

As our PCU Nurse at Good Samaritan Hosptial, you will help critically ill patients by providing exceptional care, monitoring and managing their conditions, and administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Every day you will be helping patients recover from surgery, accidents, illness, or complications from chronic conditions, with the goal of transfer or discharge.

To be successful in this role, you must be diligent and observant, with the ability to quickly spot changes in their patients’ condition and act appropriately.

We are offering up to $13,500 sign-on bonus and up to $10,000 educational assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Where You'll Work

The PCU at CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 49 bed unit. We specialize in intermediate care. All patients have additional monitoring via telemetry. We strive to provide a level of care and highly skilled nurses that allow our community and surrounding areas to receive health care close to home.

Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Nebraska. At CHI Health Good Samaritan you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.

Pay Range

$36.00 - $52.20 /hour
