Job summary

UCHealth seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in an ICU/PCU setting at Anschutz Inpt Pavilion in Aurora, CO. You will monitor patients, respond to life-threatening situations, and uphold standards to optimize outcomes and resource use.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program.
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
6 months of ICU or PCU nursing experience or completion of UCHealth Fellowship.
BLS and ACLS through AHA or Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
BLS and ACLS cards valid through start date.

Responsibilities

Initiates corrective actions from monitoring/life support equipment when needed.
Responds to life-threatening situations following nursing protocols.
Provides critical care nursing to a high acuity patient population.
Performs in fast-paced, high-stress environments with decisive action.
Demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision.
