Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a dedicated RN for the Pulmonary/Oncology Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. You will provide high-quality nursing care on a 31-bed unit, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting that emphasizes learning and professional growth.

The role requires strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills, with emphasis on compassionate, evidence-based care and adherence to unit protocols.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required; ADN permitted if obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
• Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with nursing informatics or computer charting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care for the progressive care unit depending on age and condition.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; contribute to discharge planning.
• Develop, revise, and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Deliver and documentsafe, evidence-based nursing interventions.
• Evaluate patient responses; communicate changes via SBAR during shift reports.
