Job summary

Atlas MedStaff is seeking a registered nurse for a 13-week contract in Maryville, IL, working 12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) in a stepdown/PCU unit. You will care for adult and geriatric patients with CHF, COPD, arrhythmias, and complex telemetry needs, providing high-quality monitoring and bedside care.

The role emphasizes teamwork, critical thinking, and proficient airway and cardiac management, with a focus on safety and patient outcomes during night shifts in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing.
• Experience in telemetry/stepdown or PCU settings preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and bedside assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for adult and geriatric patients with CHF, COPD, arrhythmias, and other cardiac conditions.
• Perform and interpret telemetry monitoring and vital signs continuous assessment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure patient safety and end-of-shift handoffs with clear documentation.
