Description:Perm candidates from any facility are eligible for a travel contract if separated for at least 3 months.All facilities honor active compact licenses.This role requires surgical telemetry experience, including open heart surgery and vascular management.Candidates must have strong IV skills.The typical patient ratio is 1:4, which may increase to 1:5 at night.Experience with monitoring and managing patients with myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and post-operative care for open-heart surgery is essential.Candidates should be adept at blood product administration, cardioversion, and defibrillation.Knowledge of telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management is expected.Experience with VAD and TAVR is optional but preferred.Staffing involves interdepartmental support, including IV teams, physical therapy, and social services.Candidates must be prepared to manage patients with heart failure, stroke, and coronary artery disease.A commitment to working every other weekend is required.Expectations include managing various cardiac drips, telemetry, and caring for patients post-cardiac procedures.Travelers are expected to float between similar units to meet hospital needs.
