Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an Intermediate Care Registered Nurse (RN - PCU) for a 13-week assignment in Lynchburg, VA. This 12-hour night shift position requires a compact active license and at least 2 years of nursing experience in an Acute/Intermediate Care setting.

The role includes charge responsibilities with a pay differential and required travel experience. Cerner experience is preferred, and you may be scheduled for weekends; holidays may apply.

Qualifications

• Charge responsibility is required, with applicable pay differential and training.
• Ability to work at least one major holiday: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and/or New Year’s Day.
• Experience with Cerner preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work 12-hour night shifts in PCU.
• Care for diverse patient population (medical-surgical, telemetry, neuro, CVA).
• Schedule requires 2–3 weekends per month.
• IV access skills required.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Limited time-off requests accepted; shifts may be canceled up to 36 hours prior by client.

Description:This position is for an Intermediate Care Registered Nurse working 12-hour night shifts.The nurse will work in a unit that cares for a diverse patient population including medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac intermediate care, neuro, and CVA patients.The unit aims to schedule staff for two to three weekends per month, though this may vary based on unit needs.Charge experience is preferred for this role.The nurse will interact with students and new hires, contributing to a culture of support and learning.IV access skills are necessary, and limited requested time off will be accepted.The client retains the right to cancel shifts based on patient census up to 36 hours prior to the assignment.
